Play-Based Early Intervention That Feels Natural and Works
If your child has recently been diagnosed — or you’re still in the middle of assessments — it’s normal to feel overwhelmed and unsure where to start. You might be reading about different therapy options, wondering which one will actually help your child communicate, connect, and feel confident in the world.
At Rise High Therapy, we’ve been where you are. We know the urgency of wanting to give your child the very best start, but also the need for support that feels gentle, joyful, and respectful. That’s why we use the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) — a world-leading, evidence-based approach that helps young autistic children learn through play, relationships, and everyday routines.

Why Parents Choose ESDM With Us
What We Work On in ESDM
Every child’s plan is different, but common goals include:
How Sessions Work
ESDM sessions are short, playful, and dynamic. We work one-on-one with your child, often on the floor, joining their play and gently introducing new skills. We also involve you in the process — showing you exactly how to use these strategies at home, in the park, or during mealtimes.
We offer sessions at our Hurstville clinic, at your child’s preschool, or via telehealth if that suits your family.

Getting Started Is Simple
You don’t need a diagnosis to begin. We’ll start with an initial consultation to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and your priorities. Then we’ll create a plan that fits your family’s routines and budget — whether that’s weekly sessions, intensive blocks, or a combination with parent coaching.
Your Child’s First Step Towards Connection Starts Here
We know the first call can feel like the hardest part — but once you do, you’ll have a team who understands your journey and walks it with you. Let’s help your child build the skills they need to thrive now and in the years ahead.
Take the first step toward building your child’s communication, connection, and confidence. Our ESDM sessions in Hurstville are tailored to your child’s interests and your family’s goals.
No—your child can begin ESDM while you’re still going through the assessment process.
Yes. We begin with an initial assessment to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and current skills. This helps us set meaningful goals, establish a starting point, and make sure ESDM is the best fit for your child’s needs.
Absolutely. ESDM works well alongside speech therapy, occupational therapy, and parent coaching.
At our Hurstville clinic, your child’s preschool, or via telehealth when appropriate.
